The Port of Baia is a medium-sized port located in Bacoli, in the Province of Pozzuoli. In fact, the port is situated right on the Gulf of Campania.
The fame of the Province’s two ports, the Port of Pozzuoli and Marina di Maglietta, overshadows this port, which nonetheless deserves considerable attention. First and foremost for the beauty of its panoramic view, which offers a stunning backdrop of the gulf and the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Boasting no particular prestige, especially from the point of view of yacht shows or tourist events, the port manages to give a pleasant retrospective of maritime and naval life, in a quiet but nonetheless very functional setting.
In fact, in its average capacity, the port of Baia can hold up to 550 berths, half of which, are temporary docking berths for the provision of services to various vessels.
The facility can accommodate yachts up to 25 meters in length. However, it is not designed to accommodate cruise ships or for industrial berthing. It is certain, however, that the wide range of services the port provides brings great satisfaction to its customers.
In fact, the port offers many services that make it highly efficient. Water, gas, and electricity are just a few of the essential services provided by the port facility. The pier also features a facility capable of providing maintenance and repair services for boats,primarily Sailing Boats.
The shipyard in question isn’t particularly large, but it has no trouble providing everything a boater and their boat need. This ability to provide support is made possible by a dry dock.
This dry dock is equipped with a crane, a repair bay, a wash bay, a garage, and a sail-making workshop. Finally, to ensure that the boat’s services are as functional as possible, it also has an access ramp.
The port is not located in a particularly touristy area, but it is nonetheless frequently used to host boating events and exhibitions, such as in 2012, when the 25th edition of the “Navigare” boating exhibition was held. The port is actually located slightly off the beaten path from the town center, which is only a few bus stops away, making it easily accessible.
For those, therefore, who experience a lot of port life, it is easy to reach Bacoli and access si services restaurants, stores, supermarkets, or perhaps spend time for comfortable walks.
