Description

Renowned for its emerald-colored sea waters and its beachese, the enchanting bay of Paraggi is located between Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure. A village once inhabited by millers and pescators.

It is a very popular destination among recreational boaters who generally sail in the Gulf of Tigullio. TheAnchoring in the anchorage is permitted for boats only during the period October 1 through April 30 (excluding the points that mark its boundaries).
During these months of the year, the inlet is marked by yellow buoys during the day and by small buoys with an intermittent yellow light at night. Since the beach is designated for swimming,anchorages are permitted only outside the area not marked by buoys, where the seabed—which is about 10–20 meters deep—is not always suitable. Alternatively, you can anchor in the cove located a little further south, where the seabed is about 5–8 meters deep.

In the summer months , the R ada di Paraggi is a destination not only for yachtsmen, but also for “land” tourists who reach the equipped beach on foot or by public transport along the limited traffic road that connects the tourist centers of Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino.

From a naturalistic perspective, the splendid location of Paraggi bay is noteworthy, hidden and nestled within the Portofino Regional Natural Park . The vegetation is so thick and green year-round that one might think one could cross the entire promontory and reach Camogli by hopping from tree to tree, branch by branch, without ever touching the ground.
