Hazards:

When ships are launched, all vessels must leave the port due to the waves that form inside the harbor basin.
There is a shoal near the Mar Morto pier.
There are numerous unmarked rocks between Torre Annunziata and Castellammare di Stabia (approximately 150 meters from the coast). It is recommended to stay at least 200 meters away from these rocks.
Town lights make it difficult to spot the navigation lights marking the entrance.

Description

Ports of Campania – Gulf of Naples

Consisting of an outer breakwater and an inner breakwater (quay walls), the Port of Castellammare di Stabia is one of the busiest and best-equipped ports on the Campania coast, with a water area of 420,000m².
Today, the port’s primary function is to facilitate commercial and freight shipping, as well as the traffic of fishing vessels and tourist boats.
It is the third-largest port in Campania, after Salerno and Naples, and features shipyards for the servicing, repair, and maintenance of large vessels.
