The Darsena, owned by Darsena S. Marco, is managed in collaboration with Adria Ship srl; it is located at the mouth of the Belvedere Canal. It features floating moorings and a stone pier. The Dock is a ridged landing that is less than five minutes from the historic center of Grado.

Convenient parking facilities are available near the berths, which are equipped with electricity and drinking water services and are less than 900 meters from the open sea exit. The port has deep-water berths from 3 to 6 meters for boats from 5 to 20 meters in length, with docks equipped with drinking water, electricity, toilets and showers with hot and cold water. New berths on the pier and on floating docks have expanded the availability of berths for annual parking and transit.

The yard’s equipment includes a 40-metric-ton travel lift, a 16-metric-ton mobile crane, and a 20-metric-ton trailer, which enable boats to be hauled out and launched, an indoor storage area capable of accommodating small vessels, an outdoor area for larger boats, and a fuel pump. It operates as a shipyard capable of performing all standard maintenance services and serves as the service center for Elan Shipyard in Italy.

The Darsena can be reached by boat via the Canale del Belvedere; it is marked by a steady green light and features floating moorings and a stone pier. When winds are from the south, the surf is particularly strong.

Grado is a major tourist and spa destination, also known as the “Island of the Sun.” The town has the typical Venetian seaside charm, with narrow streets, small squares, and low-rise buildings surrounded by ancient walls. The Basilica of St. Euphemia, along with the Baptistery and the Church of the Grazie, are the most important buildings.

The island possesses miles of beaches sandy beaches facing completely south and exposed to the sun for the entire day and a clear sea, Blue Flag since 1989. The coastline offers sports fields, exclusive areas, areas for mothers and children, as well as free beaches and a beach accessible to dogs, the Lido di Fido Beach. Grado’s lagoon consists of a collection of small islands covered by marsh vegetation from which the characteristic thatched fishermen’s huts sprout.

The Grado Marine Spa, surrounded by greenery and just a few meters from the sea, specializing in thalassotherapy, use artificially heated sea water combined with sand warmed naturally by the sun.

Boreto alla gradese is the traditional dish of the island consisting of mixed fish (sometimes shellfish as well) that is served with with white polenta and a glass of Refosco. To he other excellence of the area is theasparagus of Fossalon the highlight of a festival held in the spring. Another distinctive feature is the Santonego, a grappa flavored with santonico, a herbaceous plant that grows in the very water of the lagoon.

Every first Sunday in July in Grado, the Perdon di Barbana is celebrated during which a procession of boats decorated with flowers, garlands and flags reaches the shrine on Barbana Island to fulfill an ancient vow.
