Description

Cat 32 (9.75 m) sailboat, built in 1974 by Artmare, in excellent condition and fully operational… with moderate wind, it easily exceeds 6 knots. 20 Cv inboard diesel engine – tender (inflatable Rubber Boat with electric motor) – autopilot (for solo sailing). We’re operating it as a timeshare to minimize annual mooring and maintenance costs…We’re open to adding a 4th partner (even without sailing experience); the annual costs under our arrangement are negligible for a 10-meter boat—mooring is provided free of charge by one of the partners (so annual expenses are greatly reduced). Contact me for details; the boat is located at “the Sibari Lakes,” where it’s on display, and you’re welcome to take it for a test sail (even a full week of sailing to see if you like it).

We do not intend to sell the entire boat, but only a single member’s share. Specifically: one of the current members, for reasons of age and health, would like to sell his share (the amount indicated corresponds to his personal share). This is ideal for those who are passionate about recreational boating but cannot afford substantial and frequent operating costs, or for beginners who want to try this wonderful sport. We are members of the Italian Naval League (LNI), so we enjoy all the benefits at the over 80 LNI ports in Italy. I personally live in Friuli, and last year I spent less than €50 on round-trip flights with Ryanair… with Marinibus, it costs about €140, and there’s a Frecciarossa train from Bolzano to Sibari via Mestre > Bologna…

Newly installed last year: 2 solar panels, 12 VDC to 220 VAC inverter, 12 VDC to 220 VAC bimodal compressor refrigerator – electric oven – induction cooktop – lithium battery (third battery; the two standard ones are lead-acid) gennaker various improvements (to be seen on site)

I’m available for any questions and/or test sails. I have 50 years of experience in both racing and recreational sailing, and plenty of free time.

Fictitious enterprises

Always check the true existence of the enterprise, including through the proper channels, (checking the VAT number, checking through the CCIAA, and possible check of financial statements).

Maximum precaution: the existence of the entire enterprise is probably only virtual. Seemingly professional Internet sites are easy to create and easy to delete.

Phishing mail

You receive an Email from a fake Yacht Digest sender. It usually follows an invitation to send your user information.

Check scam/fraudulent currency exchange payment

You put a boat up for sale. Responding to the advertisement contacts you a buyer from abroad. The buyer would like to purchase the vessel without viewing it.

You later get a check that exceeds the purchase price. The customer apologizes for accidentally writing too high a check and begs you to send the excess via Western Union.

When the check is cashed at the bank at first the amount is credited. After the bank’s time-consuming verification, the check is cancelled, as it is not covered. In the meantime you refunded the excess or you should perform this transaction through Western Union or similar institutions.

At the time the payment was made it was irrevocably lost.

“Rip-Deal” scam / fraudulent foreign exchange operation

Rip-Deal is an illicitly sourced currency exchange business. The impostor uses different stratagems, all with the goal of deceiving the victim financially.

The victim is offered Euros and/or U.S. dollars in exchange for Swiss francs or vice versa. Sometimes the impostor pretends that it is laundered money to justify the need for the exchange operation carried out surreptitiously.

Regarding delivery, there is no limit to the imagination of the scammer.

  • Counterfeit or facsimile money instead of real money.
  • Exchange an empty briefcase.
  • Bundles of counterfeit banknotes arranged, placing a single genuine banknote on top of each bundle.
  • Colored so-called “dry washable” banknotes.

Features

Fraudulent foreign exchange operation is recognizable when:

  • The hypothetical interested party requests from you as the seller to pay the brokerage fee and percentage in cash.
  • The total transaction must be carried out in cash.
  • Disproportionate future benefits are suggested to her.
  • The meeting point for delivery is set abroad (Northern Italy, France, Spain, Turkey or Benelux).
